When Dr. McCarthy opened our office in 1993, he created a payment plan unique to the Birmingham are - affordable orthodontic treatment with no down payment for braces. Orthodontic offices usually require large down payments of up to 1/3 the cost of braces. Rather than requiring a large initial down payment, our office offers interest free, in-office financing to help make orthodontic treatment affordable. At Birmingham Orthodontics, payments are spread over the course of the proposed treatment. .

Our office offers a 5% pay-in-full discount for patients who pay off their contract balance within one month of the start of treatment and we offer discounts for families having more than one person in active treatment at the same time.

Our office accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and debit cards with the Visa insignia on it. Automatic payment plans through your bank or credit card are also available for your convenience. Payments can even be made on this web site.

Insurance
Birmingham Orthodontics accepts most insurance plans. As a courtesy to you, our office will be happy to file your insurance. Before your appointment, it is important for you to contact your insurance company to find out what your benefits are and how much they will pay .Any insurance money received will be applied toward the total contract balance. If you have orthodontic insurance, you need to contact your provider before the first visit to know how much your policy pays. The questions you need to ask your provider are:
