Dr. McCarthy is a board certified orthodontist and was recently listed in the Guide to America’s Top Dentists.

Dr. McCarthy is a 1983 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and received his orthodontic training during his 10 years of service in the U.S. Army. He has been published in many dental journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics.

He and his wife, Vicky, graduated from John Carroll High School and are involved in Prince of Peace Church. They enjoy running and have been active with the local high school track and cross country programs. They have two children. Brian graduated from Rhodes College and is enrolled in Law School at the University of Alabama. Katie graduated from Samford University and teaches at John Carroll High School.
